Film History Presentation.

I chose the filmmaker - Dziga Vertov. He was a soviet director, founder of documentary film. Vertov worked in cinema verite style (it is a style of documentary filmmaking) to unveil the truth or highlight subjects hidden behind crude reality.
Dziga Vertov was against literature, games, actors, studio shots and the scenery in the film because he thought that they were not accurate representations.
I decided to analyze his film, Cinema Eye (1924), a documentary about the new state of the USSR. This film is comprised of various true accounts of life in the Soviet Union, united by the theme of "Life by spontanity." Much attention is paid to children and their pioneering organizations, but also focus around other subjects like elephants, tuberculosis, asylums, and physical labor. The shooting took place in Moscow and the surrounding regions. I found Cinema Eye to be a very interesting historical perspective on that time period.
